SENSEX slips over 300 pts. & Nifty50 below 8150 | Intraday Stock tips for Today

Market Report -  

The BSE Sensex is down 324.83 points or 1 % at 26401.51 and also the Nifty is down 109.30 points or 1.3 % at 8097.30.

The Indian market came under pressure once the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged on Wednesday however signalled that it still plans to lift rates double in 2016. 

ICICI Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and ITC are major losers within the Sensex. GAIL is the only stock in Gainers in  BSE.

Economic survey today -

 

The lowest income tax slab is likely to be increased from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh, which means income up to Rs 3 lakh is likely to be exempt from Income Tax. There are also indications that even the higher IT slabs may be re-jigged.

The Sensex was closed up 115.11 points or 0.5 % at 24338.43, and therefore the nifty up 42.20 points or 0.6 % at 7404. regarding 1074 shares have advanced, 1571 shares declined, and 126 shares are unchanged.

On the BSE SENSEX, the midcap index closed 0.18 per cent lower at 10142.09 points, led by losses in Wockhardt Pahrma and Reliance infra.

The Share Market has finished lower at the end of the day. The Sensex finished beneath 24000. The 30-share index was down 99.83 points or 0.4 percent at 23962.21 and the Nifty slipped 32.50 points or 0.4 percent at 7276.80.

Today's Update -

Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) has posted a Q3 net benefit of Rs 1811 crore, down 23.9% over Rs 2380 in the same period a year ago, on lower metal costs and outgo on recently required District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
